Bailey Consulting Group, with support from UNDP and the African Development Bank (AFDB), successfully implemented a legislative capacity-building program across 7 states and 3 administrative areas in South Sudan.
The program aimed to enhance the capacity of State Legislative Assemblies and Finance Committees, focusing on:
- Budget preparation and bill review
- Legislative drafting and audit oversight
- Debt management and revenue mobilization
- Advancing the SDGs through policy and accountability
Training sessions were held in: Jonglei State, Ruweng Administrative Area, Upper Nile State, Pibor Administrative Area, Abyei Administrative Area, Central Equatoria State, Northern Bahr el Ghazal State, Warrap State, Eastern Equatoria State, Western Bahr el Ghazal State.
Each session was tailored to local governance needs and involved active participation from state leaders, legislators, and public finance officials.
The final workshop in Western Bahr el Ghazal State marked the successful conclusion of this impactful journey—highlighting South Sudan’s growing commitment to strengthening public financial management and transparent institutions.
